About Christine Drabek
I’m Christine Drabek, a Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LADC) with more than 25 years of experience helping individuals and families address addiction and related mental health challenges.
My Approach
I’ve worked in both outpatient and residential programs, managed nonprofit initiatives, and built my own private practice. I use evidence-based strategies to help you understand the real drivers of addiction and make practical changes. I bring clinical expertise, personal experience in recovery, and a direct, honest style to every session.
Credentials
Master’s in Counseling, Long Island University (1998)
Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor in Maine #LC258 (2012)
Certified Clinical Supervisor #CCS6307 (2016)
Personal Experience
Growing up in an alcoholic household, I experienced the chaos addiction creates firsthand. I've navigated my own addiction and recovery, which gives me practical insight that strengthens my clinical work.
Because I’ve been through it myself, I understand both the struggle and the possibility of change. Every client teaches me something new. I've seen people at their lowest points and watched them build lives they're proud of. Wherever you are right now, I'm here to provide clear guidance and support
Why Work Together?
My approach is direct, genuine, and practical. I believe in honest conversations and real connections as foundations for meaningful change. We'll look at how your past affects your present while building skills for a different future—without judgment or unnecessary complexity.
